Hopefully by the time you read this, I will have completed my photo purge. Today’s contribution comes from a day spent on the Virginia portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
I was fortunate to capture a photo of a butterfly without my subject being blurry. It managed to stay still long enough for me to take the picture. I was confident I knew its specie but I doubled checked online. This is an Eastern Female Black Swallowtail. Okay, the only part I knew for sure was”Black Swallowtail”.
I can’t imagine why I didn’t share this simple but delight image with you then but am happy to make the discover in my stash. It was nice to revisit a forgotten day trip from July 2015.
Have a wonderful day!
