Big Buck Fever

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  Before we hit the dance floor let me say a word of thanks the attempt on President Trump’s life at the rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday failed. MSM concealed the assassination attempt in their headlines about the incident which is appalling.  The assailant was killed by the secret service.  Trump’s right ear was hit.  Rising to his feet surrounded by secret service agents, a photo showed blood on the right side but he appeared fine otherwise. I’m so happy God had His hand upon President Trump!

Moving on now, this week’s theme is songs that make you think of sports or other outdoor activities

Tomorrow would’ve been my daddy’s 86th birthday.  I’m taking this week’s music prompt to celebrate his life.  One of the things he enjoyed doing was deer hunting.  I liked the music video of the next song and while Daddy didn’t hunted with a bow, still it made me think of his love for the sport but really it was more than a sport because each kill was food for the table.  He loved venison!

I don’t recall Daddy having any interest in football, baseball, or basketball.  I wonder if he thought of hunting as a sport?

Now, it’s your turn, what music moves you?

Here are my responses to this past Friday’s Friendly Fill-ins (link in side bar).

1. It would be nice to be a millionaire for a day.

2. The older I get, the more I appreciate life.

3. I like to decorate notes with doodles and scribbles.

4. You’ll often find a coffee cup on my kitchen counter.

I love comments but while I’m on a blogging break I encourage you if you can to click the “like” button or leave an emoji in comments instead.  That’s all I need to know that you stopped by.  Have a boogietastic week!

  1. Happy Heavenly Birthday to your father. Love your music choices. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

    1. You’re most welcome and I’m happy you came to the party. Thanks for the bday wishes to Daddy who celebrated his first birthday in heaven. His cousin who was born within a few days as him passed away a few months after he did, so they had a really grand time this go around!

  2. Happy Birthday to your daddy in heaven, CK. That is a great painting you made for him and you put in also great mewsic. We were flabbergasted when we heard the news of President Trump and so relieved that he’s still here on earth🙏
Double Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😽💞

  3. My dad was a fisherman and I have learned to love the sport. Three of the grandchildren played sports and one was a dancer. I played baseball and football in high school, so being outdoors has always been a part of my life. Enjoy your break.

  4. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Sending you hugs as you remember your dad. XO

  5. CAThy!

That was a very novel way to celebrate your Dad’s birth with music related to his favorite activity! Very nicely done!

I’ve got that ‘Big Buck Fever’ song (which I’d never heard before) stuck in my brain now! Ha!

    1. “Big Buck Fever” is a new find. I’m sorry for planting the tune in your head but that happens sometimes. Thanks for dropping in, my friend!

  6. My dad liked hunting and, even though there are too many deer, i couldn’t shoot one. The meat is good though. A happy birthday to your dad! I love your painting with the deer and the little bear.
I don’t condone violence even when it involves Trump. It’s so wrong and someone died as a result which is very sad.
I wish I could be pain free for a day.
You would find honey on our counter.
I appreciate beauty the older I get. Nothing beats a flower, butterfly, an alpine scene…a smile.
I love to decorate cards with glitter and crystals. I’m a magpie at heart.

    1. Violence is not the answer. Most people don’t agree all the time on issues, even to the point of irritation but usually it doesn’t escalate. Folks decide to tune those individuals out. Politics is another story and I think when this sort of behavior is involved then it stems from pure evil. I would never want something bad to happen to any person because I don’t like their politics or beliefs. That’s just wrong. We live in a sad world, don’t we? I think I could kill an animal if I had to for food but it would be a challenge as I’m a terrible shot. I’d probably starve to death. lol

    1. I agree, what happened yesterday was horrible! If Trump was a liberal then this wouldn’t have happened and had it happened to a liberal then it would be plastered across every MSM outlet around the world. It’s so sad how far people have slipped. We all have the right to one’s beliefs. If you don’t like it, then you have the right to ignore what a person says. It’s just that simple but the far left who are the most hate filled people wishing terrible things on those who oppose their agenda. Chaos and destruction are tools of the devil. I don’t have any place in my life for such evil.
