Purrs and hooowdys, Kittens & Dawgs! Another week bites the dust. This is DH’s off Friday. It’s also a holiday weekend, so I get the spend the next four days with my #1 guy and you won’t find me anywhere on the Internet. However because I’m your friend I have your weekly dose of giggles with these Friday Sillies!
This is my story and I’m sticking with it…
That’s a wrap folks but I hope to see you on the dance floor for your choice mewsic picks with Mondays Mewsic Moves Me!

Happy Time to you,

Carol,
It’s good to know that I’m in good company! 🙂
Who wants to be normal? I love to be a little weird, geeky or nutty…it’s what keeps me sane. Love the Tasmanian Devil. I hope you are having a great long weekend and enjoying every moment
I have always been pleased that I was considered quirky sometimes. Sounds like everyone else here is happy to have a label like that. 🙂 Have a great weekend.
Yeah, I don’t mind how others see me. That’s where true individuality comes in to play. I’d rather be unique instead of the new normal but even old-school normal as I call myself I have certain about egocentricity behavior or quirkiness as you put it.
CUTE FUNNY KITTY… Put a smile on my face I know… hehehe~! HAPPY, HAPPY MEMORIAL WEEKEND to you and yours… eat lots of goodies, shoot off fireworks, have tons of fun, but most of all be safe… BIG HUGS… AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Marie,
No encouragement needed to eat lots of goodies. In fact, I had more ice cream than I should’ve.
These are great. I like the minion, I would be insulted to be called normal. I hope you and DH have a wonderful weekend! XO
Ellen,
Yes, I would be insulted if someone called me normal especially if they used today’s guidelines of “normal”. 🙂
Being normal is so overrated, isn’t it!
Mimi,
I think to be normal by today’s standards is over-rated. Why would you want to be a sheep? That’s the new normal. 🙂 I’m old school normal, a truly unique individual far from following others. I march to the beat of my drum. 😉
Nearly every person I have ever known is normal. At least compared to me. And I’m normal compared to Tiny Tim.

Stephen,
Well…I’m pretty sure you’re normal and everyone else isn’t. That’s the way I feel about myself. 🙂 Oh, Tiny Tim was just weird and you’re not weird or at least not in my book!
Ha! Yeah, that’s it, CATHY. Everyone else is weird and I’m the normal one. I like that.
(I’m guessing you’ve never spoken with any of my old girlfriends…)

Nope, I haven’t talked to any of your ex-girlfriends. I’d rather form my own opinions about someone instead of basing it off what others say. I think we all have a certain amount of weirdness that’s what makes us different from one another. If someone can look past the weirdness then that’s one way you know that person really loves ya. Case in point, DH doesn’t see my weirdness. 🙂
I like the first one with the Tasmanian Devil. We just saw a Bugs Bunny cartoon with Taz last night (on our local station that broadcasts all the old shows). Bugs called Tasmania and got a female to come and take him back…
John,
I remember that cartoon where the girl Tasmania devil whirls Taz off. 😀
Normal is a matter of perception I think. I feel pretty normal much of the time, but my normal might seem strange to someone else.
Have a nice long week-end. My wife is off on Monday and then only 4 more days until she’s off for the summer. Then travel ahead!

Lee,
Oh, definitely, it is a matter of one’s interruption. It’s just replied to Sandee telling her that I think I’m normal but the definition of others has changed making me “not normal” by these standards. I’m okay with that, though. Have a safe travel over the next few weeks and enjoy your time with family.
I’m not normal either and I’m happy about it. Fun post.
Have a fabulous day and weekend, Cathy. Big hugs. ♥
Sandee,
I don’t really think I’m not normal but the definition of normal has changed. 🙂
I love that attitude! So I have permission to be (ab)normal. what a great day.
Jacqui,
Yes, you have permission to be (ab)normal but it’s not cool to be Abby Normal. 🙂
Hi, Cathy!
I enjoyed your Friday Sillies and the Everclear rock song “Normal Like You.” To me, being normal is about as exciting as being average. That one meme hits the nail on the head. I like friends that are funny, sexy, sweet (and not normal) and those are the same qualities I hope to bring to the table.
I hope you and DH have a safe and happy holiday weekend. See you when I see you, dear friend Cathy!
Tom,
Thanks for joining me for some giggles on Friday. 🙂
