  1. You get a colonoscopy every year? Yikes! I’m on a three year schedule, and that seems bad enough. 😛 Hope all goes well! Get some rest, afterwards.

Bad Company had some excellent tunes; lots of memories attached. Good choice, Cathy! 👌 P.S. I voted in your BOTB as well.

    1. Debbie,

Well, this is my second year of having them back to back but that’s what my doctor always wanted. After 2015’s procedure, I had to put these on hold because DH was out of work and we didn’t have insurance but when he began working again in December 2016 by the time he got full benefits in March 2017 then he became the center of attention with his detached retina. I knew my things could wait as I felt confident that all was well with me which was proven right when I finally had it done last year. With my long history of inflammatory bowel disease then this is really a safety measure to make sure nothing slips up on me. It’s a small inconvenience to ensure one is healthy.

Thanks for pointing out that you voted in my BoTB. I got your vote recorded. Thanks for dropping in to listen to my mewsic!

  2. I’m sure the colonoscopy will be fine, the Dad says it’s the best sleep he has ever had. The Dad likes Bad Company too but he likes it more when they leave.

    1. Brian,

Yeah, that nap is pretty sound but it always leaves me just little unsettle for a few hours after. I was hoping for a good night’s sleep last night but that didn’t work out too well for me. I wound going back to bed after DH left for work and caught a few hours. I could’ve slept longer but got up to get my day going. Maybe tonight I’ll do better.

  3. Good luck with the procedure. I am not due for a few years, thank goodness. Great songs. Bad Company is one of those bands I tend to forget about until I hear a song and then say “Oh yeah, I remember them!”

  4. It’s the prep I don’t care for. I’ve got five more years until the next one. I had mine in the summer. Such fun.

    Love both videos.

Have a fabulous rest of the day, Cathy. ♥

    1. Sandee,

Every five years isn’t bad at all. I think I probably could go every other year but between my doctor and DH they keep me on track.

  5. Excellent choices today! I’ve got a Bad Company post scheduled for later this month, but a little bit of overlap never hurt anyone when it comes to great music 🙂

Hope all goes well with the colonoscopy today. I know yesterday was the worst part of the procedure. Yearly? I envy you! I have to get mine every 3 years – and I’m about 2 years overdue.

    1. Mary,

Yeah, I understand why you envy me. lol Don’t push yours off now, girlie. Make sure to have everything checked out. The inconvenience is worth it if they catch something in early on. Good to know that you’ll be sharing Bad Company later at some point this month, too.

  6. Hope all goes well with the colonoscopy. Yearly sounds like too often. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day, well as great as one can when they are having a camera put in a bad place. XO

    1. Ellen,

I’m on the go actually waiting my turn with my GI.
Due to my health issues yearly is recommended and as much as I hate it it’s a small inconvenience if it detects anything wrong early.
I’ll update everyone tomorrow. Thanks for visiting!

    2. Ellen,

Yearly is only recommended for those with a long history of inflammatory bowel disease. It’s a precautionary step to make sure things aren’t changing which is a bit harder to spot when one’s intestines are inflamed. Everyone kept saying how lucky I was to be having a double whammy and I just responded, “I don’t care, I’ll be asleep.” 😀 It was lights out, then lights on again for me.

    1. John,

Having a colonoscopy these days isn’t nearly as bad as it was years ago. Although, I don’t like being forced to have all liquids the day before it’s totally doable. The prep they give now is two small bottles that you mix with water the evening before and the morning of. It does what it’s supposed to do. What I really dislike is after the last prep bottle is gone and I can’t have anything to drink until after the procedure which in this case I was close to noon. It’s strange how thirsty you are after having liquids for more than 24 hours. The anesthesia they use now is a non-narcotic so it doesn’t leave you nearly as groggy. Incidentally, after doing a little digging I learned it’s the anesthesia that’s the cause for my sneezing and drippy nose. Crazy, right? Thanks for dropping by and best of luck to you when you have yours this fall.
