We’re in “the dog days of summer”. Robin from SongbirdsCrazyWorld is the creator of this week’s theme. She wants us to put together songs about animals. The first thing to pop in my mind was the old saying “sweating like a pig”. That doesn’t sound classy. Ladies don’t sweat, they glisten. Anywho with pigs on the brain, I went in search of songs titles and lyrics that fit. I don’t like squealing but I didn’t like what I found and then a light went on inside my ticker that made me happy as a pig in a pen.
For your amusement, I’m delighted to bring to the 4M dance floor an all-star ensemble featuring Miss Piggy and friends.
The party co-hostess are listed to the right in my side bar underneath the 4M banner. The guidelines are simple. Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks to share and on the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you – your choice. To access the dance party, add your music post below, and visit others on the floor. Leave a comment or click the “like” button to show that you dropped by for a boogie. 😘
This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietasticweek! X💋X💋, Cathy

Ah yes, the ever popular Miss Piggy… love it!
You and I are on the same page today. I did my post a couple of weeks ago. You made me laugh out loud.
Love the video. So fun.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs, Cathy. ♥
Sandee,
I know, what are the odds that we both we would share piggy pictures. 🙂 Thanks for popping by, my friend!
I love The Muppet Show and my dad, a strong lumberman who was a good old timer( born in 1913) considered the Muppet show one of his favourites. It was so nice to see Christopher Reeve here showcasing his talent as well as the late Raquel Welch. Very funny and, I think, I must have been the only one to have loved the new Muppet Show.
I’m sorry guess I got over-excited! Your post is fabulous! I love those two together & the song is great! Just too cute! Thanks for sharing! Luv ya!!!!! HUGS
Cathy my lil’ sweet southern bell…. I HAVE A SURPRISE for EVERYONE that visits us… shhhhhh I’m not gonna tell you until you come & visit!!!! I HOPE YOU LOVE IT AS MUCH AS I DO… I can’t believe it happened to our favor. It’s a surprise guest…. shhhhhhhhhhhh COME SEE… OH CAT PLEASE COME SEE!!!! Guess I should sign in. hahaha love ya!!! HOPE YOU’RE SURPRISED AS I WAS WHEN I READ “SUREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”!!!! WOO HOO! Now I’ve been a fan for a long time & when I asked I couldn’t believe he said yes!!! WOO HOO! SHHHHHH I BETTER SHUT UP BEFORE I GIVE IT AWAY!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA
I love Miss Piggy, she’s fabulous.
These were so enjoyable, both the Muppets and the guest stars. I never thought of using Muppet clips and now you are the second blogger to have done so. Loved especially Raquel Welch and Elton John and, oh yes, the spoof of Hello. The Hello video lends itself to spoofing and I thought Saturday Night Live did a great job on their spoof, but this one was even better. (Despite all that I love the song!) Alana ramblinwitham
Alana,
I was surprised to see Joyce using a clip this morning, too. Raquel Welch sure was the looker in her day, wasn’t she? The “Hello” spoof is a lot of fun. Miss Piggy did a wonderful job!
We always did like sweet Miss Piggy!
Brian,
Me, too. What I like is the unlikely couple that she and Kermit make. HaHa!!
That is a fun theme. I like Miss Piggy. 🙂 XO
Ellen,
Miss Piggy is loved by all. She’s such a funny character!
My Aunt adored Miss Piggy!
Thanks for hosting and bringing back good memories!
Ramona,
Thanks for joining the fun. It’s always a pleasure to have you on the dance floor, my friend!
We don’t get many Awww Monday pics with small pigs in them, I forget how cute they can be.
Miss Piggy is a favorite! We had a teacher in high school who was the personification of Miss Piggy and she was a fabulous teacher.
Mimi,
Small pigs are cute. Yeah, Miss Piggy is one of my favorites. I like Kermit, Animal, Fozzie Bear, and the Swedish Chef. Oh that’s funny about your high school teacher! Did she know this or was it just something the kids kept to themselves?
I don’t know if Miss Piggy appreciates being called an animal. She’s a distinguished lady.
Joyce,
You’re right about that, Miss Piggy IS a distinguished lady but she’s a comedian at heart and so she probably appreciates being included in this week’s lineup. 🙂 Thanks for joining the party, my dear!
What a clever response to the theme. Miss Piggy is the hostess with the mostess! Have a blessed week.
I’m glad you enjoyed my take on the theme. I couldn’t resist going this direction. Thanks for dropping by, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!
Miss Piggy sure got great guests. Lovely to see this clip again, too.
ERin
Erin,
Miss Piggy knows how to rub shoulders with big names in show business but honestly what celebrity wouldn’t want to be on the same stage as Miss Piggy? 🙂 Thanks for pawstepping with me today, furriend!
Great music and Miss piggy is such a Diva 💘💘
Willow,
Yep, Miss Piggy is a Diva. I love The Muppets!
I do too, a big fan of drummer animal ☺️☺️☺️🎉💜
Oh yeah, Animal is hilarious! HaHa!!
Absolutely love him, I had a neighbour once who was the spit of Animal 💜💜
