An all-star ensemble featuring Miss Piggy and friends on 4M

Awww Mondays hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus Photographed by Cathy Lindsey

We’re in “the dog days of summer”. Robin from SongbirdsCrazyWorld is the creator of this week’s theme.  She wants us to put together songs about animals.  The first thing to pop in my mind was the old saying “sweating like a pig”. That doesn’t sound classy.  Ladies don’t sweat, they glisten. Anywho with pigs on the brain, I went in search of songs titles and lyrics that fit.  I don’t like squealing but I didn’t like what I found and then a light went on inside my ticker that made me happy as a pig in a pen.

For your amusement, I’m delighted to bring to the 4M dance floor an all-star ensemble featuring Miss Piggy and friends.

1. I’m Woman 2. She Drives Me Crazy 3. Fly Me To The Moon 4. I Will Survive 5. Hello 6. Don’t Go Breaking My Heart 7. East of the Sun 8. Born To Be Wild 9. Crazy Little Thing Called Love 10. Cheek to Cheek
This is a music link up.  Your post must contain music (at least one song) or your URL is marked “No Music”.

The party co-hostess are listed to the right in my side bar underneath the 4M banner. The guidelines are simple.  Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks to share and on the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you – your choice.  To access the dance party, add your music post below, and visit others on the floor.  Leave a comment or click the “like” button to show that you dropped by for a boogie. 😘

This is CAAC signing off,  have a boogietasticweek!  X💋X💋, Cathy

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs, Cathy. ♥

  3. I love The Muppet Show and my dad, a strong lumberman who was a good old timer( born in 1913) considered the Muppet show one of his favourites. It was so nice to see Christopher Reeve here showcasing his talent as well as the late Raquel Welch. Very funny and, I think, I must have been the only one to have loved the new Muppet Show.

  4. I’m sorry guess I got over-excited! Your post is fabulous! I love those two together & the song is great! Just too cute! Thanks for sharing! Luv ya!!!!! HUGS

SHHHHHH I BETTER SHUT UP BEFORE I GIVE IT AWAY!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA

  6. These were so enjoyable, both the Muppets and the guest stars. I never thought of using Muppet clips and now you are the second blogger to have done so. Loved especially Raquel Welch and Elton John and, oh yes, the spoof of Hello. The Hello video lends itself to spoofing and I thought Saturday Night Live did a great job on their spoof, but this one was even better. (Despite all that I love the song!) Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Alana,

I was surprised to see Joyce using a clip this morning, too. Raquel Welch sure was the looker in her day, wasn’t she? The “Hello” spoof is a lot of fun. Miss Piggy did a wonderful job!

  7. We don’t get many Awww Monday pics with small pigs in them, I forget how cute they can be.

Miss Piggy is a favorite! We had a teacher in high school who was the personification of Miss Piggy and she was a fabulous teacher.

    1. Mimi,

Small pigs are cute. Yeah, Miss Piggy is one of my favorites. I like Kermit, Animal, Fozzie Bear, and the Swedish Chef. Oh that’s funny about your high school teacher! Did she know this or was it just something the kids kept to themselves?

  8. I don’t know if Miss Piggy appreciates being called an animal. She’s a distinguished lady.

    1. Joyce,

You’re right about that, Miss Piggy IS a distinguished lady but she’s a comedian at heart and so she probably appreciates being included in this week’s lineup. 🙂 Thanks for joining the party, my dear!

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed my take on the theme. I couldn’t resist going this direction. Thanks for dropping by, my friend. Have a boogietastic week!

    1. Erin,

Miss Piggy knows how to rub shoulders with big names in show business but honestly what celebrity wouldn’t want to be on the same stage as Miss Piggy? 🙂 Thanks for pawstepping with me today, furriend!
