This apple tree sits in the yard beside my late in-laws home. I believe DH said this variety is called a June apple and a cousin of my FIL gave the plant to him. I think the June apple was one of his favorites.

People who don’t believe God exists are those who aren’t seeking to know him. As a child I accepted that God wasn’t meant to be seen with our eyes but our heart. It comes from faith that He is there and as I grew I come to see him in everything around me – the wind blowing in the trees, a spring flower in bloom, the mechanics of my fingers, gorgeous mountain splendors, the crashing of ocean waves, and the birth of a child are only a few examples. Everything He has done for us is nothing short of miraculous and awe-inspiring. Enjoying life around me gives me great happiness. One of the places that does this in the Smoky Mountains. The above picture I took at the Apple Barn & Cider Mill in Pigeon Forge one fall day several years ago. The old fashion ice cream churn makes my heart smile. God offers moments such as this to fill my soul with sunshine and pleasure from these moments lifts my heart again later on like now. Find happiness around you, look to God so healing can begin.

Thanks for praying for Mom. I touched base with her this week. She reported that she felt better but still a bit drained. I could hear the difference in her voice putting my mind at ease. Thanks for praying for Annette. She took her heavenly flight early Thursday morning, escaping world pain and worries. Please keep her family in your prayers. Our lose is indeed heaven’s gain. RIP, dear Annette!
