The taste of autumn to come filled my heart with joy and reminded me of things yet to be. My thoughts were adrift to Mother Nature’s cries of extreme atmospheric disturbances causing the wind to move the heavy clapper of our wind bell.

Introduced In 1989 to the beguiling sounds from the harbor buoy bell in Boothbay Harbor, Maine we bought a Boothbay Harbor wind bell that replicates the sound we heard in the harbor soon after returning home and to this day it hangs just outside my kitchen window from the house eve. I often wake in the middle of the night to the rich tones warning me of the stormy weather. The haunting melodic song allays my fears and lulls me back to sleep.

Currently, I’m in the midst of working out details with a prospect business with the hope to present to you an opportunity to enter a giveaway for a Maine made buoy bell. Keep your eyes open for the announcement to pop up soon!

My first blog hop takes me to Stasha from The Good Life has a fun Monday Listicles prompt 10 THINGS I HAVE A CRUSH ON submitted by Kelly.

So, here goes in no particular order of importance, my 10 THINGS I HAVE A CRUSH ON…

1. the love of my life – my husband of 34 years!
2. the one thing I can’t get enough of – Blue Bell Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream.
3. memories of autumn crispness against my skin and longing for it to get here fast.
4. open fires while roasting marshmallows and relaxing in the evening air.
5. the scents of pumpkin spice & cinnamony apple in anything.
6. a deep, deep desire to visit Maine again…in the fall – so beautiful!
7. getting back to using my new DSLR camera that I haven’t had time to use this spring/summer.
8. taking a weekend to go to the mountains which I’m missing so much!
9. the idea of living in my dream house.
10. my favorite colors: pink & white. I’m totally a girlie girl!

Each week, Heather, puts on loan FOUR QUESTIONS for anyone to borrow and answer for your blog post, and then she give you the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four questions you answered. Don’t forget to grab the MQAM badge for your blog or post or both from Acting Balanced blog!

1. September 15th was Chicken Lover’s day – what is your favorite way to prepare chicken? I will cut chicken breasts into strips, lightly dredge the strips in seasoned flour, and then I fry it in olive oil. Very tasty and better than KFC.

2. It is 99 days until Christmas… what are you planning to ask Santa for? At the moment, I cannot think of anything I would like to ask from Santa. Oh wait, yes there is one thing – a new house! Do you think he’ll bring it to me?

3. How long should company stay? I guess it depends on who the company is. Right now, we don’t have room to have anyone to stay with us. Hopefully this will change, if Santa delivers what I want on Christmas Day or before then will be fine by me.

4. What do you consider to be a long trip? Anything that stretches beyond 8-hours. Our longest trip I can think of was 20+ hours. We drove from Knoxville, TN to Bar Harbor, Maine. Keep in mind, once we crossed the Maine state line, we slowed our traveling down to do things in the southern part of the state before reaching our destination. Otherwise, if we had gone at it like the crazy people that we were, then we would have shaved our time by a couple of hours easily. Needless to say, we were pooped by the time we got to our hotel. But, it was tons of fun!

My question to you is What’s sort of topics would you like for me to blog about?

To complete my Monday morning ramblings, I want to skip over to Carissa’s for:

lowercase letters

While helping my DH outside the other day a little visitor honored me with it presence.

A chance to capture alighted butterfly because…you know these opportunities don’t come around too often.

Do you like music? Would you like a fun, loving group of loyal bloggers to visit you week after week after week? If you’re nodding your head yes like I think you are, then you’re gonna wanna check out my Monday’s Music Moves Me post and be a part of the dance floor shakin’!

Me? Not so much – about the same as every other Monday. It helps to tape my eye lids open, I found. That way I don’t walk into anything. Now, if I can figure how to get my feet to coƶperate.

Just because the weekend is over doesn’t mean we can have fun, right? Get your work week started with a few laughs by reading, Men vs Women – The way they think. Then, follow me over to Heather’s at Acting Balanced!

In keeping with the original Meet Me On Monday format hosted by Java from Never Growing Old, Heather will post 5 questions each Sunday for us to copy and paste into our own Monday morning post. Be sure to display the MMOM button on your post, which you can grab off her site by clicking below…

Acting Balanced

1. What are your plans for St. Patrick’s Day?

I plan to make Reuben sandwiches and potato soup with a nice tall glass of ‘Kiss me I’m Irish’ (lime sherbet & 7-Up) or “Me Pot O’ Gold” (rainbow sherbet & 7-Up). Oh yes, I’ll be sure to wear me green, too. The green in my hazel eyes just doesn’t seem to be enough to keep me from being pinched.

2. What is your favorite room in your house?

The one room that gives me much joy and comfort is the living room. We spend a lot of time relaxing there on the weekends – watching movies or playing games. It’s a lovely spot to sit in the early morning hours to catch a glimpse of dawn’s first light, as a gorgeous East Tennessee sunrise greets my day.

3. What ‘gadget’ do you have that you can’t live without?

That’s a rather tough one to call. I guess I would have to say my computer. This is the one gizmo that consumes a good part of my days. I would bet my last nickel most MMOM readers will pick the same thing, what do you think?

4. What will your first thought be when you learn that you won a lottery?

I don’t know, I’ll be passed out on the ground. I guess seconds before I hit the floor, though, the thought, “Hallelujah!” will light my whole world up. Can you imagine winning the lottery? How glorious would it be to get out of debt practically overnight and to have the means to help your family or others. Unfortunately, there is only one problem with winning the lottery – I don’t play! *sigh*

5. Other than Acting Balanced and your own, what is your favorite blog to read?

To say my favorite would be hard press. If you’ll scroll down my homepage, you’ll see a number of regular memes I participate in. These would be among my favorites, I would say. However, I enjoy every blog I visit. Yeah, I know that’s not any kind of answer for you and you’re probably screaming, “That’s cheating, Cathy! You gotta pick one!” But, no I’m not gonna do it. I love all my bloggy friends too much! Thank you for being my friend. =D

Adam Carolla

Last night on Celebrity Apprentice, Donald Trump fired two of the men after losing to the women. First to get the boot was comedian Adam Carolla who served as project leader on the Buck Verona ad campaign and shortly followed was Indy race car driver, Michael Andretti.

Michael Andretti

If ever there was a project which fit a Celebrity Apprentice like a glove then this would have been the one for Michael Andretti. To my surprise and the rest of the viewing audience, Andretti failed to step up to owning the challenge when Carolla claimed leadership of the task.

Three words: Is it Spring? Oh heavens, yes! It was an absolutely gorgeous spring-like day here yesterday with a beautiful sunny, blue skies and temperatures in the upper 60s. The Forsythia is bursting in its glorious yellow hue and all the trees’ blossoms of pink, white, and purple are popping open while the lovely Daffodil faces dance in the breeze. It was undeniably a breathe-taking Sunday to enjoy outdoors.

This morning, a lovely visitor stopped by Susan Sarah (Oops sorry for goofing on your name!) of Splashin’ Glory. I took the opportunity to return the gesture. Reading her first post kindled my heart. I knew this was a soul after my heart. I sensed it in her words and attitude. If you’re a woman who loves the Lord, then you will feel right at home there.

For all of my smartphone enthusiasts, you may want to look for the iHeart Radio app. If you love music, then you’re gonna like this because you can custom design your own stations by artist or song. What iHeart will do is look for similar artists/songs from your selection. It’s really nice to have Internet radio available on my iPhone. This may keep my compulsive side from buying too many CDs in the future. You can visit iHeart online here to see what they have.

Speaking of music, you may want to get your daily dose by clicking on Female Artist Picks on MMMM. If you’re like me, you’re having your cup of Joe. Mmm, yesterday my DH bought a new flavored coffee – Blackberry Cobbler by Archer Farms just for me. If you’re not familiar with Archer Farms, this is a Target store brand.

It’s time to top my coffee cup off again. For more random Monday musings, join Carissa at lowercase letters and link up!

What’s plunking around in your noggin’ this morning?
