Sigh. Oh well, like the young in the wild, your teenage kids will eventually turn on you. No more cute and cuddly days.  Those are lost forever, except in a mother’s memory.

Where was I again? Oh yeah, basking in the delights of the holiday senses.  Now that Christmas has past or at least the show of festivities, I sink into a semi-moody state of mind, as I tackle dismantling and packing away the last of the decorations. My motivation is near zero.  It’s time to jump-start this gal’s attitude and play Thursday’s blog hop with Two Questions.
My Thursday Two Questions are:

1. When do you put away your Christmas decorations?

2. What’s the longest you ever kept your tree up?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Typically, I don’t even begin to take down everything until the end of January. This year, I’m starting earlier. I need to get our quaint living room, which also serves as my personal gym back in order.  It’s really difficult to do kickboxing in my gym if there is a 6 foot Christmas tree protruding into my work area. Back in the boxes, it will go today!
You will either laugh with hysteria and say, “I’m not alone after all!” or shake your head in shame and say, “Tis, tis, tis what a procrastinator.” Either way, I’m embarrassed to let the cat out of the bag. The longest I ever left our Christmas tree fully decorated in our living room was….are you ready…early April.
This was years ago, mind you and I had a good excuse. Really. In those days, we used the 7-watt Christmas lights, you know the old-fashion ones, on our tree.  They were reminiscences of our childhood days but surprisingly we discovered they provide a lot and I do mean a lot of extra heat to the one room we share much of our time together as a family. It was an especially cold winter, so we decided to keep the tree up so we wouldn’t lose the extra warmth.  There my dirty little secret is out! Do you think any less of me? Wait! Don’t answer that, I don’t think I can handle an honest answer this early in the morning.
Now it’s your turn. Leave your answers in my comments.
