Rocktober Music Fest

Shadows of the Night #PatBenatar #RocktoberMusicFest + #Tuesday4

Inspiration for my song choice comes from this week art prompt, ‘supernatural’. The last time I share today’s featured song was 2014. Let’s give it up for rocker chick, Pat Benatar with Shadows of the Night!

I’m going to finish up with my responses to this week’s Tuesday 4 “Little Questions” Q&A.

1 You have won a trip and can choose to go to Hawaii or Paris? Summer or winter?  Provided I can get over my fear of travel then I think I’d choose Paris in the summer.
2 Little dog or big dog which do you prefer?  Neither, but I wouldn’t mind having a mid-size dog. Little dogs tend to be ankle biters and big dogs I’d be afraid I couldn’t handle well because I’m a small woman.
3 Which TV/book/movie character do you identify with, and why? I don’t think there’s any character I identify with unless it’s a real life mom then chance is very good I’ll find something to connect with most on.
4 What did you wish for last, like at your birthday or when throwing a coin into a fountain? Christmas wish list? Somethings that you need to buy?  I don’t remember when the last time it was that I made a serious wish on my birthday or tossing a coin in a fountain.  Nor can I think of any Christmas wishes.  I have a whole of somethings I need to buy but waiting until we find a new house.  That’s a wish I’ve had for more 30 years. I’m still hopeful we’ll find the right place. We don’t want to buy just another house but one that will serve us well into our golden years where we’ll be totally happy.

That’s a wrap for now, please visit JingleJangleJungle to join the fun. It’s never too late to get in on the action. Until next time…. rock on, ghouls and guys! X💋X💋, Cathy

Love these cartoons especially the wine and spirits:) Pat Benatar has such a strong voice and my one friend has gone to see every concert he could when she was “in town”. I would pick Paris and would not care if it was summer or winter. I love dogs but always go to the bigger side…give me a mongrel or a black lab because they are such fools and always make me laugh plus they love a hug. I can’t think of any character that would fit me..I guess I am an original:). I wish I had no pain but hat won’t happen so I wish that my pain will not get worse( like it has been). I also wish for my hubby to be ok health wise since he has severe rheumatoid arthritis

      Birgit,

If we ever got a dog it would be mutt. Pure breed animal are expensive and they don’t live as long for some reason. I wouldn’t mind having one that’s a labradore mix. I’m an original, too. Pain is no fun. I’m sorry your hubby has RA. I’m sorry you’re also dealing with pain. As we age things don’t seem to work quite the way it once did. Thanks for visiting, dearie. It’s late this evening, so I’ll pop over tomorrow for a visit.

1 You have won a trip and can choose to go to Hawaii or Paris? Summer or winter? Hawaii and winter.

2 Little dog or big dog which do you prefer? We had a big dog and it got difficult when she got old. I like big and little dogs.

3 Which TV/book/movie character do you identify with, and why? I don’t identify with any of those, but I love Maxine. I can be snarky.

4 What did you wish for last, like at your birthday or when throwing a coin into a fountain? World peace and it’s almost daily.

I linked this post to Happy Tuesday. Love the funnies.

Have a fabulous day, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

      Sandee,

Your response to number four wishing for world peace shot a flashback to the film, Groundhog Day, when Bill Murray asks Andie McDowell want does she drink to. World peace was her answer. That’s such a fun movie!:)

Hi, Cathy! I am familiar with Pat Benatar, but I don’t remember that song. I prefer small dogs, because I have balance issues and have had them in the past. Just lost my Yorkie mix this summer to canine kidney failure. Don’t think I will be getting another one anytime soon. Hope you are doing well.

      Annie,

Thanks for joining me. Pat Benatar and her husband were on AI the season before last. I didn’t know until then that they were married. Have a great evening!

We go back with Pat Benatar from her time playing clubs in Richmond and we always enjoyed her music. Those were good answers and fun funnies!

      Brian,

When you say Pat Benatar was playing in clubs was that early in her career? I’m not into live entertainment so I’m not sure how things go with all of that but regardless of that, that was really cool!

      Patrick,

We don’t own a single record anymore, everything we have is CD. We mainly stream mewsic anymore. I actually prefer the convenience of digital mewsic to physical media. Thanks for stopping by!

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Tickle Me Tuesday & Rocktoberfest, dear friend!

Back when I was working at that MTV station in the 80s and 90s, our veejays played Pat Benatar’s videos heavily and viewers requested them often. At the time I considered her more pop than rock. That might actually be true and yet, in recent years, I have developed a greater appreciation of Pat, and I have several of her hits embedded in drafts of future posts at Shady’s Place. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to “Shadows Of The Night.”

The “Wine & Spirits” cartoon is a funny sight gag. I enjoyed reading your answers to the 4 Little Questions. Like you, I often find the questions posed in various hops worded in such a way that they are difficult to answer or that they have little or nothing to do with my life, values and priorities. I like your answer to question 4. Finding the right house, one that you will live in many years, perhaps the rest of your life, is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. It is much more than a wish or a whim. It is a long term goal that requires lots of research and the weighing of pros and cons.

Thank you for the mewsic and giggles, dear friend Cathy, and enjoy your day!

      Tom,

Not being a heavy rocker, I always thought that’s the best genre for Pat but she’s not heavy compared ‘real’ heavy rockers, though.

I’m glad you understand how we’re going about choosing our next home, many probably do not get it. Thanks for joining me for another daily song pick this month’s RMF, my friend. Have a good evening and rock on!
