Whenever I think of the word reckless, I think of being out of control. What I failed to think about is that reckless means without thought and that’s precisely how God loves us, without thought of who we are or what we’ve done. When we surrender our all to Him becoming one of His children then that’s the way He loves us, totally unconditionally, without thought and forgiving.

Interesting commentary, but I see things very differently. God gave us brains to think and strong will to make our own decisions. Just like you would want for your own children, He wants us to choose the right path rather than to blindly give up all thoughts to what we’ve done. I guess that’s the difference in our religions. We are a religion that questions and gets into deeply philosophical discussions of who we are and what we should do. As a result we think and interpret scriptures to guide us to live a moral life that we can be proud of choosing because it is the right thing to do, not for fear of punishment or blind obedience. It amazes me how truly different people approach life through faith.
