Monday's Music Moves Me

Make Each Day Better Beginning With Breakfast

The theme this week is In honor of Better Breakfast month, a musical acrostic: songs that spell out “breakfast.”

Welcome to the Sunday edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me!  Breakfast is probably my favorite meal of the day.  Sometimes, we’ll have breakfast for dinner. Pancakes is one of my favorite breakfast foods to make mornings and evenings.

This week’s theme, I doubled down on the challenge looking for appropriate song titles to spell out BREAKFAST using food name bands.  Grab your coffee, settle down with your morning breakfast, and hit play to enjoy my collection of songs.

Breakfast Acrostic playlist:

  1. Boy With A Coin ~Iron & Wine
  2. Ready or Not ~Bananarama
  3. Ecstasy ~Raspberries
  4. Ain’t No Cure ~Bananarama
  5. Kiss On My List ~Hall & Oates (a slight stretch)
  6. Freeway ~Peaches & Herb
  7. Aubrey ~Bread
  8. Snow (Hey Oh) ~Red Hot Chili Peppers
  9. Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad ~Meatloaf

I hope you enjoyed my breakfast of tunes and if you haven’t started your day off right yet, then high tail it into the kitchen to grab a good source of protein or grains to kick your brain into gear.  😉

This is a music linky party.  Your co-hostess are StacyAlana, and Me.   Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts.  Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.

Nice job on the doubling down! The only ‘food’ in my playlist is Breakfast in America, but I am planning on doing an artist edition for next week.

Well, I doubled down with COFFEE as my breakfast word of choice.
I do eat a lot of oatmeal for breakfast, mostly because I can put butter and syrup on it just like pancakes and waffles!! I add a little cinnamon and brown sugar during the cooking process. Good stuff…not that I really need anything to stick to my ribs these days!!
Pancakes or waffles are a relatively frequent dinner entree in our house.

Breakfast used to be my favorite meal. I’d get up every morning to fix myself and whoever else might be there a big breakfast, most often with eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Now my breakfasts are much smaller, but it’s still a meal that is essential for me to get going in the morning.

Your breakfast music line-up sounds tasty even though some of the songs don’t ring familiar with me.

Oh, I’d love some good biscuits and gravy! Hard to find here in L.A. where I am.

I’ve got a midmonth BOTB post up on my site if you’d like to stop by and cast a vote.

I thought of doubling down, but I took the relatively easy way out with my contribution. So I enjoyed yours, especially the Bananarama and Red Hot Chili Pepper entries. And, of course, Meat Loaf, which I, personally, would rather save for lunch. Music is a part of a nutritious breakfast and I got my daily vitamins from you today! Alana ramblinwitham
