Friday Sillies

Good morning Sunshine, It’s Friday!

This is my first Friday back after my very long semi blogging hiatus.  I really wasn’t all that absent in Blogosphere, I was just otherwise detained composing future posts. Although I was super busy doing bloggy things I found time to make the best use of my time in near isolation. The best thing about the pandemic is having DH around the house finally giving me someone new to talk to each day. 🙂 Alrighty, it’s time for your weekly dose of laughter, nature’s best medicine. It might be better than chicken soup.

Ellen at 15andMeowing and Lorraine at Four-Legged Furballs share each Thursday four blank statements for us to copy and paste to create an entry for their Friday Friendly Fill-ins. Rounding things out this is how I filled in the blanks.

1. To eat something naughty or not to not eat? is a question I ask myself (frequently). No wonder it’s hard to loose those extra pounds. 🙁

2. I wish I had a million dollars, if I did I would build the house of my dreams, help my parents & children, and then take a tour around the country seeing all of the places on our list of US destinations. Come on Mega Power Ball jackpot! No, we didn’t buy a lottery ticket. It’s been quite sometime since we’ve done that. I think we have a better chance of a long last relative leaving us a fortune than playing the lottery.

3. I’m on the fence about what to do after we get our new car repaired – do we keep it or try to sell it? It’s a tough decision. We’ll wait to see what we think after the work is done. I’m confident the body shop will make it look pretty but will the compartment be as quiet as it was when it was new? That’s important to us.

4. If you don’t try, you won’t ever know that you can’t do but will always wondered if you could. Life is too short for regrets.  This is the reason why I self-published my children’s story and finally pushing myself to get back in to art. I’ll never regret doing these things ever.

I love the cartoon of the dog and the cats…too funny. I hope you had a good summer despite everything. Your fill in are fun to read and I have put covid fat on my fat. I so agree with you about trying…if you don’t, the. You don’t know what you can truly do.

Boudreaux done ax to win de Lott’ry, an’ he keep prayin’ an’ prayin’, and fin’ly he say, “Why I cain’t win de Lott’ry?” an’ de Lord answer in a dream, “Boudreaux, you gotta help me help you by at least buying a ticket!”

    Thanks for the funnies!

      Mimi,

It sounds like de Lord gave ole Boudreaux some good advice. Maybe after COVID settles down we can play the lottery on occasion. Who knows, perhaps the Lord will show us good favor! 🙂

Thanks, Alan! So happy to have your return visit. Hopefully, I’ll be joining in with SWF with more frequency now that I’m back to my regular blogging schedule.

Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Polar Bear.
I never buy lottery tickets, my mom does sometimes and I figure she would share. Thanks for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I missed your doing them this summer. Have a nice weekend! XO

The way that kitty looks is how I feel in the morning before 2 cups of strong coffee.

    • Cathy Kennedy

      Kathe,

I think the kitty just tumbled out of her tree house without taking a quick look in the mirror before she started her day and then some human captured her picture. How insensitive is that? I look like that ever morning but even in the darkness of my room I at the very least run my fingers through my short locks to detangle and smooth out the weirdness. 🙂

What a fun post! Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I love food, and so I relate to your #1 so much. And your answer to #4 is so true and inspiring. Life really is too short to not try, to not reach for your dreams. I love that you self-published your children’s story. I’m writing some books and plan to start self-publishing them in the not too distant future. Have a wonderful weekend!

      Lorraine,

Best of luck with self-publishing your stories. I think if I could ever get motivated to do it again I might have better success with the marketing thing then I did a decade ago but I’d rather play. 🙂

Those were great fill-in answers, we’d love to win the lottery too but we’d have to play it to win. Those were really cute funnies today. Have a fabulous weekend!!!

      Brian,

Unfortunately, you gotta play the lottery to win. I marvels the mind how someone plays for the first time and hits it really big. Luck doesn’t seem to shine my way. Oh well…I can’t throw good hard money after a dream with the odds stacked against ya. Thanks for visiting!

I swear that feline has the same hairstyle as I do this morning. I worked on it all night.

Love the funnies as always. I also love your photography. What a great shot.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

If my hair was long then I’d look like this poor ole kitty, too. Not to be fooled even short hair gets really weird sometimes after a long night’s rest. 😀

    Hi, Cathy!

I am here for your Sillies, dear friend, and what a pleasure it was to be greeted by a vintage pinup girl In Living Color! That one dates all the way back to the 1930s, I believe.

That dog training cartoon reminds me of the time Mrs. Shady and I sent our Toto to obedience school. She flunked. 🙂 She never learned to resist yanking on the leash and trying to get to other animals, especially cats. I read your Fill-ins with interest. Recently Mrs. S asked me to quit wasting money buying Powerball tickets. Wouldn’t you know it, a few weeks after I stopped playing, the number combination I had used for years matched 4 of the numbers in the drawing. I would have won $100! I wasn’t happy about that. 🙂 I’m glad you pushed yourself to get back into art. Since making that decision, you have produced many wonderful sketches and color illustrations. They are a joy to behold, Cathy. You’ve got talent!

That snoozing panda reminds me of the stray kitty that now lives on our lanai. He has access to soft upholstered porch furniture, and yet he chooses to curl up and sleep on concrete and metal surfaces, often in an awkward position that looks uncomfortable.

Wow, that parody rock song medley was terrific! The wife played Tawny K. to perfection, and the lyrics to all the rock anthems are funny. Thanks for sharing! I’m going to send that video to Mrs. Shady and her son. The enhanced picture of the sunset with painted sky at Fort Loudon is a dreamy, romantic composition. Well done!

Thank you very much for the smiles and laughs to start off the weekend. i wish you and DH a safe and happy one, dear friend Cathy!

      Tom,

Tell me Mrs. Shady, “I could’ve paid for the lottery ticket and gotten take-out with that $100 win!” I’m sure she’d tell you to go for it next time. lol The best we ever came is two numbers, maybe three picked. I’m glad you enjoyed The Holderness family parody. They usually put together some good stuff. Thanks for stopping in for some a.m. giggles. Enjoy your day, dear friend!
