Cathy’s Pinup Girl #AtoZChallenge art sketch series (‘Z’)
April disappeared, didn’t it? It was an honor to have y’all stop by each day to check out my newest pinup girl illustration and I hope it added some fun to your day. This morning, I have a couple appointments and won’t be around in Blogosphere until this afternoon, so pardon my tardiness to the party.
Okay, so here we are the last letter in the alphabet. I don’t know about you but I find the letter ‘Z’ always poses a challenge, do you have the same problem? I found it especially difficult since I didn’t have the leisure to give it a lot of thought like I do when I get things done ahead and now I’m zapped of energy.
The word, zen was the first thing to cross my mind. It’s not particularly unique and I’m sure some others might be on the same page as me, if you came up with something different then you get a special pat on the back. Oh well, whatcha gonna do? Nothing, absolutely nothing or at least I’m not and just go with the flow. It’s all about the fun, right?
Today’s illustration is a stretch in my pinup girl series as I modeled my gal from a general pose from a picture of some chick wearing ugly yoga clothes. Nothing about her said ‘pinup’. At the very least my Zen girl has the makings of pinup sporting her short shorts and cropped off top. Also, I didn’t forget some sort of elevated foot apparel. 😉
Beginning tomorrow, I’m taking a blogging hiatus with the exception of Mondays. That means no BoTBs tomorrow. Sorry folks, gotta do something for me. For months, I resisted taking time away so this is a good time with the April blog fest ending. I can unwind while collecting myself after so much busyness. I appreciate all of you who joined in my 2020 A to Z Challenge pursuit Cathy’s Pinup Girls Art Sketch Series. I’m gonna leave you with a new artist discovery and YT playlist by Zendaya. WOO HOO WE DID IT! CONGRATS GIRLFRIEND! You did a great job and your gal today is a great way to wind things up. She’s perfect! This video you posted I love that girl. She’s just good at everything she does. I’ve seen her in a few movies and she did that video with Bruno Mars too “Vicace on the floor”! So cool (yes, I misspelled the word, sorry)!. So takin’ a break huh? That’s awesome. Do you want me to do the linkies while you’re gone or I thought I saw you said you were going to be around on Monday’s. Well, you let me know girlfriend cuz you definitely deserve the break for sure. I can handle it. I’ll wait for you to come back then before I make my move. I’m thinking I’ll go to blogspot.com . Many of our girls are there too and I use to use it, but it’s different now, but not too bad and I have a girl that will move my blog and she’ll help me. Happy “Z” Day, dear friend! Seems like only yesterday the starter was shouting, “And they’re off!” The grueling race is now over and you are understandably zapped of energy. It’s time for you to rest and catch some ZZZZZ’s. 🙂
I like your cutie of the day caught by your mind’s eye in the middle of a Yoga workout assuming the Downward Dog pose. She certainly is ‘zensational’. Let’s put it this way: I’d go to the mat for her. (DA-DUM-DUMP)
That three hour video of Zen meditation mewsic reminds me of the mewsic that was played in our motivational seminar program at the conclusion of morning exercise. Room lights were dimmed and participants reclined on the floor, closed their eyes and meditated as this type of music softly played. The artist Zendaya is new to me. She is an exciting singer as well as a def dancer. I enjoyed the video.

Your daily sketches were excellent and I look forward to seeing the black & whites return In Living Color. I also appreciated the songs and sillies you posted daily in relation to your pinup themes. You did indeed add fun to my days throughout April, but then your posts do that all year round. Get some rest now and bask in the satisfaction of knowing that you met the challenge again this year.
