Inspiration for my song choice comes from this week art prompt, ‘supernatural’.

If you’ve frequented my site over the years then you might recognize today’s featured photo. I originally shared it in 2014 for WW, along with several others taken on the same day. The conditions were purrfect for some creepy snap shots!

Aces are wild birthed the idea of my mid-week hop WILD WEDNESDAYS (#WildWednesdays) meme. All personal bloggers are invited share your photos, artwork, DIY, music, musings, randomness, or whatever. The party where just about anything goes!

I participate in these Wordless Wednesday Communities:

I’m rounding things up with Joyce’s weekly Q&A: Wednesday Hodgepodge. Let’s see how I answer today’s questions. 😉

1. Let’s start things off right…Wednesday is National Dessert Day. What are we having? How often do you  make/serve dessert? Store bought or from scratch?  No plans for dessert but if my sweet tooth begs for a treat then I can grab a bite size candy bar to tie me over. I do have plans to make our traditional autumn treats – caramel corn and home-made caramels.

2. Slow as molasses, icing on the cake, that’s the way the cookie crumbles, have your cake and eat it too, half-baked idea, that takes the cake…which phrase might be applied to something in your life in recent days? Explain. The other day I was thinking my brain was moving ‘slow as molasses’. I caught onto things very slowly! I think it was one of those days I had a migraine.

3. Something that’s ‘easy as pie’ for you to do? Making home-made buttermilk biscuits.

4. Are you someone who likes to ‘sugarcoat’ news you think might not be well received, or are you more of a tell it like it is and let the chips fall where they may? Do you like to receive your news the same way you give it? When I can I prefer to deliver difficult mews in a gentle fashion, sprinkling a little sugar in the mix and then there are times I just say it as gingerly as I can.

5. Something you did recently that made you feel like a ‘smart cookie’? Right now nothing comes to mind but there has to be something I did surely. Think. Think. Think. Oh well…I’m gonna have to keep thinking.

6. Insert your own random thought here. This week I’m preparing for our at home vacation that starts this Friday evening. We’re still not comfortable eating out so I’m cooking and that’s okay because I really enjoy making meals for us.  I made focaccia bread dough to turn into focaccia style pizza. Yesterday, I made Green Chile Rice for our Mexican dinners. I want to make a spicy beef enchiladas one night and another a Tamale Pie Casserole. Today or tomorrow I will make either Refried Beans or Charro Beans.  I have other meal ideas in mind. I hope to make DH some Apple Cinnamon or Pumpkin Spiced baked donuts. Why decide on either, I could just make both kinds. 🙂  What we don’t eat can be put in the freezer, right? Sounds like a plan to me!

That’s a wrap for now, please visit JingleJangleJungle to join the fun. It’s never too late to get in on the action. I’ll be back tomorrow with some mewsic, art, and thanksgivings. Until next time…. rock on, ghouls and guys! X💋X💋, Cathy

That picture is freaky with that face in the tree. I’m just not much into Ozzy but I like your answers and I had the icing on the cake this past weekend. I shouldn’t have sugar but I do buy these ginger cookies that are made with molasses.

Hi. Visiting today from the Hodgepodge! I love caramel anything! Your meals sound delicious. It is hard to do anything with a migraine and I feel like everything is done slower with a migraine. Have a great rest of the week 🙂

I believe there are ghosts. What a great shot.

Love the video. A very catchy tune.

Dessert? We rarely have dessert anymore. I do love ice cream though.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Love and hugs, Cathy. ♥

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Wild & Almost Wordless Wednesday, dear friend!

You and I had not yet become acquainted in 2014 when you first posted that picture of the ghosts roaming the grounds of the Moses Cone Estate. It’s fabulous! I also see ghost faces on the tree’s trunk and branches. Thanks for posting more mewsical rough stuff. At the MTV station where I worked in the 80s and 90s, Ozzy songs and videos were heavily requested. I looked for your Wednesday Hodgepodge segment and couldn’t find anything. Did you forget to post the Q&A’s, or is this your way of observing Wordless Wednesday? 🙂

Again I really like that spooky picture of restless spirits at the Cone Estate. Have a a Wild and wonderful Wednesday, dear friend Cathy, and I’ll see you tamale for Rain Date!

      Tom,

When I shared the original image, there were no ghosts on the grounds. I spiced it up for this month’s Halloween fun. 🙂

Actually I forgot to retrieve the hodgepodge questions until this morning which I answered quickly but not fast enough before the post published. Sorry for the goof up! I appreciate your visit as always, my friend. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

        Thanks, Cathy!

I am always eager to learn more about you thru your answers to hop questions. My brain is slow as molasses much of the day. I find that I am usually able to think and write most effectively between 8 am and 10 am when the coffee has me fully awake and before I start to run out of steam and get sleepy :). DH is a lucky man when you serve him your home-made buttermilk biscuits. Since the start of the pandemic way back in February, the only times I have eaten at diners and restaurants is when we were on our recent vacation in Western North Carolina. We ate pancakes outdoors on the patio of a small diner, had pizza on the porch of an Italian restaurant and ate indoors at a place in downtown Asheville. The indoor place was most worrisome but they spaced people two tables apart and the server wore a mask, so we felt safe. Your staycation sound like a great plan with lots of great foods to enjoy.

Have a wonderful day, dear friend Cathy!
