faeries at the mill

My good friend, Claudia, who’s a gifted photographer started a cool idea on her blog called….

This is my first artsy creation attempt of silhouette faeries playing in the cascading waters at Mingus Mills . I used two photo editors. On my iPhone, I used DistressedFX app to give my photograph that surreal essences, then I sent it to my computer where I used Photoshop to add the accredited poem quote and my copyright. For the silhouette faeries, I want to say a special thanks to Obsidian Dawn for sharing special brush tools at no cost, giving my photo that specific stroke needed to complete my s~A(R)T~urday project.

Anything you do with passion is worth savoring and spreading to others. Your slyness may not make sense to anyone other than you, but it may connect souls in a way you didn’t see.

Do you have a story to share through photo-art, writing, or music?

#SaturdaySongsuasion featuring a “rock and roll band with horns” @chicagotheband

Good-morning kittens & dawgs! Yesterday’s Flashback Friday memories of my school days reminded me of the music I enjoyed. One of my favorite bands was the one DH introduced to me.

In the late 60s, this self-described “rock and roll band with horns” launched their politically charged, sometimes experimental sound before finding their niche in soft rock.

In the bands’ early days, Jimi Hendrix once told Parazaider, “Jeez, your horn players are like one set of lungs and your guitar player is better than me.” That’s quite the compliment considering Hendrix’s reputation on the guitar, eh?

Throughout the 70s and 80s, this group produced a continuous flow of Billboard singles and albums sensations, second to none other than the Beach Boys in success among American rock bands known as Chicago.

Chicago is the longest-running and most successful rock group with more than 100 million records sold; making them the world’s best-selling groups of all times. ~image borrowed~

Let’s give a listen to Chicago’s complete greatest hits album, The Story
