Spirit of Christmas #BOTB showdown

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Good morning, kittens and dawgs! To kick off this most wonderful time of the year, I found a freebie I wanted to share with you (click image below). This is a festive DIY project. I used a sheet of beige card-stock, printed in color, and wha-lah I had a set of beautiful Christmas tags to use on gifts for the family!

Now I have you thinking about the holidays I ask you to join me in round one of December Battle of the Bands and thanks to Jeffrey’s last showdown I was inspired to do something different.

Instead of doing one cover song with two different bands, I’m featuring two Christmas flash mob videos for you to vote on. This is one time where I want you to not only listen, but watch the video to see which captures the Spirit of Christmas best.

This video is long, but flash mob #1 is at the opening segment that takes place at Cache Valley Mall.

The next scene is very different from the first and in what you typically find on YouTube; the mood set by flash mob #2 moved my heart.

Who gets your vote? Did you like flash mob #1 or #2 best? Tell me in comments which flash mob video gets your vote and why. There is no wrong way to vote, except a no vote and that’s a big bah-hum-bug! 😀

Grab a cup of hot chocolate, don’t forget the marshmallows, while you continue the fun with more epic battles with a few of my amazing friends:

Autumn #music

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

How are you doing my kittens & dawgs? As for me, hopefully, I’m having the time of my life with DH. We decided to use some of his vacation days to just knock around town. It’s wonderful living in an area where there is so much to see and do all within a short day trip. My favorite spot being the Appalachian mountains ~ Smoky’s or the Blue Ridge Parkway this time of the year ~ autumn!

Are you ready to boogie? Lace up your blue suede shoes and step out onto the dance floor with me!

On behalf of the lovely Dancing Queen, Marie @XmasDolly, and her Solid Gold dancers ~ Callie, Stacy, Becca, & I thank you for joining us for another week of Monday’s Music Moves Me.

Now, it’s time for you to ask us to step out on the dance floor with you. By linking your musical post (all non-music link ups subjected to labeling or removal) URL (not your main blog address) below you are inviting the 4M crew to boogie down to your tunes. Remember to hop over to dance with our Spotlight Dancer at #1.

(Oops, no linky to join? My bad! I forgot to include the code this morning, but you can over to XmasDolly to link up.)

NOTE: To be considered as Spotlight Dancer, you must join the linky party with your music post!

Did you have a good time on the dance floor? I did. Why not show some blog love? Invite your friends to hit the dance floor with the 4M crew now. There’s always room for one more!

Next stop… your place!  What music moves you?

 1. Grab XmasDolly 4M button here. 2. Display it on your blog. 3. Add your favorite YouTube videos.  FYI: we dance freebie style every other week, and on the off weeks we dance to a chosen theme picked by the previous week Spotlight Dancer. You can find it listed on XmasDolly’s side menu. That all being said, we aren’t music snobs. As long as you have tunes for us to dance to, then you’re cool!

Saturday Song-suasion 58: The Platters

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

In case you haven’t read, I’m taking a break this month. Although I unplugged myself from the world beyond my computer, I did think beforehand about my lovelies and threw together a whole month of music for your enjoyment.

Reminded recently of a group I enjoyed from my childhood, I thought I’d share this 60s great band with you, The Platters!

The Platters came together as a group in 1952. I was born nearly a decade later in ’61 and in the mid-to-late 60s,  I recall listening to The Platters on my auntie’s recorder player.  Let’s revisit some of the greatest hits by The Platters with this marvelous playlist.

Which Platters tune do you like the best? Or, are there just too many to say you have only one favorite? Thank you for taking time out of your weekend in hopping over to listen to the music! I hope you enjoyed your visit. In fact, I hope you enjoyed it so much that you cannot wait to tell your friends. Go ahead, hit the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 😉

Have a songsational day and be sure to stop by next week another edition of  Saturday Song-suasion!

Saturday Song-suasion #31~ Van Morrison

The luck of the Irish is still with us, as I continue bringing to you another week of music talent for the Emerald Isle. When I began researching artists and bands, I found a few surprises like Van Morrison is from Ireland. Did you know that?

If you don’t know the name, I bet you will know this song by the man…

This song is quite popular, and yet the rest of Morrison’s songs somehow slipped by me over the years. Here are a couple of more top oldies that are new-to-me,
