Once upon a time all of America was Virginia. The pristine land found in the Shenandoah Valley provided native Americans, as well as the early settlers with an abundant resources, rich soil for crops and game for hunting. For the past two weeks, I’ve shared images captured on the Blue Ridge Parkway in northern Virginia. Looking from Raven’s Roost overlook across the Shenandoah Valley at the lush fields and ridges of blue hills in the distance its beauty encompasses me. Until this time, we had only traveled the BRP from Cherokee, North Carolina to Roanoke, Virginia. With this trip, we completed the uncharted portion north of Roanoke and even drove a short distance on the Skyline Drive. I’m still on my blog break and am enjoying a little R&R with DH while helping him with his job search. Please continue to be patient with me.
