Photo Blooper #humor + Friendly Fill-ins

I have no plans to rise early today, kittens & dawgs! This is DH’s off day, so hopefully, we’re catching up on much-needed Zs. The week is almost over but if you’re draggin’ this mornin’ then perhaps a spoonful of laughs will change your mood. WARNING! If you have small ones in the room, use discretion before and put your coffee on the table before proceeding this morning with Photo bloopers #humor!

No monkeying around allowed on national TV, bud!

What an animal! He has more hand action than my boyfriend!

You might wanna think twice about crossing your legs while wearing a short dress without undergarments. There’s always a camera around when you least expect it or in this case totally right on you!

You’ve been flashed! Are you blushing?

Let’s continue the fun with Friendly Fill-Ins with Annie and Ellen. Every 1FFBadgeThursday four fun and easy blank statements are posted for us to borrow, complete, and share on our site. The point is to simply have fun linking, reading, and meeting others who enjoy this sort of thing.

Here’s my response to this week’s fill-ins:

(1) Snow cream. Did you make this when you were a kid?

Photo Blooper #humor + Friendly Fill-ins

Photo Blooper #humor + Friendly Fill-ins

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 8 cups clean snow or shaved ice (more or less depending on the density of the snow)

  • Whisk together first three ingredients, then add snow to get the desired consistency. Dish it out and enjoy. It melts really fast so be sure to put the rest of it (if there's any left) in the freezer.

Unfortunately we do not have any snow and I wanted an image to go with my recipe, so I borrowed one from a Google source.

(2) My favorite kind of soup is chicken noodle. It’s my comfort soup when I’m under the weather.

(3) When no one is around, I talk to myself because sometimes I need good advice when DH isn’t around.

(4)  The Lord is my strength and rock on which I stand. I could not make it in this life without Jesus. He is my hope, my everything, and He sees me through every step of every day. I’m never alone. He walks beside me and when I cannot walk, He carries me.

I adjusted my Friday posts yet again.  I know, I know but it’s a woman prerogative to change her mind, right?  I’m still keeping Skywatch Friday and Celebrate the Small Things in one post but I decided to move it back to Fridays which I published earlier today.

Do you find posts with too much content overwhelming?  Do you only skim the post, picking up bits and pieces to comment on? Do you prefer to see daily multiple posts with less content?

That’s a wrap for now but you’re invited to hit the dance floor (mewsic theme – your pick) on Mondays Mewsic Moves Me.

Marriage #humor plus Friendly Fill-ins & CTST

Good day kittens and dawgs! In honor of my parents 56th wedding anniversary I thought I share marriage giggles.Agoney 50 year anniversary 1

The below joke I found at an internet source and decided to change the anniversary year to match my parents’ and to remove a curse word. 😀

Once upon a time, a married couple like me, celebrated their 56th marriage anniversary with a lot of fun & flair.

They had become the ‘most infamous couple’ of the city for not having a single conflict during their period of 56 long years! Local newspaper editors too had gathered at the occasion to find out the secret of their well talked about “happy go lucky married life”.

Editor: “Sir, it is amazingly unbelievable. How did you make this possible? Please share your thoughts and experiences for the well-being of the society!”

Husband recalling his old honeymoon days said: “Well, we had been to Napa Valley for our honeymoon after marriage. Having selected the horse riding finally, we both started the ride on different horses. My horse was pretty okay, but the horse on which my wife was riding, seemed to be a crazy one. On the way ahead, that horse jumped suddenly, making my wife topple over. Recovering her position from the ground, she patted the horse’s back and said “This is your first time”!
She again climbed the horse and continued with the ride. After a while, it happened again. This time, she again kept calm and said “This is your second time” and continued.
When the horse dropped her the third time, she silently took out the gun from the purse and shot the horse dead!!

I could not resist & shouted at my wife: “What the heck did you do, you psycho! You simply killed the poor animal. Are you gone crazy?”
She gave a silent look and in a cool, composed posture, she said: “This is your first time”!!!
And, then after we have lived happily… No arguments, No quarrels, No pity fights!”

Husband concluded: “That’s it. We are happy ever after”.

Please share your funny post with me (and others) by leaving a direct link in comments. Now, I invite you to email me your giggles (funny picture, joke, video, song, …). If it makes you laugh then I want to see it! In the subject line say Friday Sillies and if I use it, then I’ll add a back link to your site.

Got laughs? Share your giggles!

Let’s continue the fun with Friendly Fill-Ins!

1FFBadgeMcGuffy Ann is hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins (click button to visit McGuffy) with Ellen from 15andmeowing. Every Thursday, she posts four fun and easy blank statements for us to borrow, complete, and post on our site. The point is to simply have fun linking, reading, and meeting others who enjoy this sort of thing.

Here’s my response to this week’s fill-ins

(1) I wish one of the major networks would bring back Kiefer Sutherland as “Jack Bauer” in the TV series 24. I just loved, loved, loved that show!

(2) An act of kindness that I do often is prayer for others. I don’t know, if that’s an act of kindness or just an act of love.

(3) I still have the rocking chair my grandparents gave me from my childhood. (The rocker was hand-crafted by a great-uncle. He use to make furniture. I passed it to our oldest daughter, but it’s tucked safely in storage until she might need it. It looks a lot like the rocker below.)

(4) If I didn’t have my iPhone , I’d be completely lost. (Maybe not completely lost, but I’d feel terribly awkward without it.)

You’re invited to join the Friendly Fill-ins linky party!

I’m joining Lexa in Celebrate The Small Things. Here’s my list of celebrations!

I’m celebrating my parents’ 56th anniversary. They have proven that wiggling through the thorns of a relationship yields an abundant life of goodness together instead of apart. It’s easy to give up, but it takes work to keep a marriage working. I celebrate the difficult and the good years of my parents’ years because without either they wouldn’t have the understanding that they do today to offer the valuable lessons learned. We say impossible, God say’s I’m possible.

What are you celebrating?

See what others are celebrating this week below and if you want to join the linky, then visit Lexa!

To continue the Friday fun, you may want to consider joining Friendship Friday and Friday Features linky parties where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration!

The weekend is just starting, so I invite y’all to hop back tomorrow for some mewsic with Saturday Songsuasion!

Have a super funtastic Friday! ?

All Things Vintage: Laughs #AprilA2Z

Good-morning and welcome to the latest edition of All Things Vintage, kittens and dawgs! I got more than my share of smiles while researching my #A2Z theme and so I decided to file these vintage ads under Laughs

There’s something strangely disturbing about this ad.

Saturday Evening Post magazine ad

Oh, the things we’ve learned since this time. Another site, Need Designs, spotlights more vintage ads that are too funny to be taken seriously. When I think of vintage comedy, I think of Jack Benny and the laughs his radio show (click the link to hear shows as early back as 1932) brought into homes in the 30s. That was many years before my time, but I faintly recall watching his show in the late 60s.

Jack Benny demonstrates the difference between a cheap and expensive violin…

He portrays a great horrible violin player, but he actually did play rather well. He began lessons at age 6 and while he loved the instrument, he hated to practice. Sounds familiar, you say? Well, I guess somethings never change. lol

It’s strange and funny how bad things were once thought of as good or acceptable. We have a lot of trial and error under our belts since those times. It makes me wonder what researchers tomorrow we find that we are doing today is wrong. One can only imagine! What’s the oddest or funnest ad you’ve seen?

Special thank you to the incredibly gifted A2Z Team who many are now my good friends.

Borrowed laughs

I cannot retell a joke correctly, unless it’s  in front of my face written on an index card so I can recite it to my captive audience line by line. Any attempt to display humor ordinaire of my own would be a big flop. Simply put, I am not witty. Deep down, I envy people who easily use humor like a second language. It’s just native to who they are. There I admitted my short-comings. So, without pretense, I give to you borrowed laughs from across the net on this Friday Sillies

It’s not often I get to play along with Hillary @ Feeling Beachie, but today is one of those days which I can indulge in her Follow Friday Four Fill-in Fun.

1) I always answer texts.

 2) A love to fall asleep when it’s raining.

3) My dream pet would be a blonde Labrador named Yellow-dog. This name cracks me up and it comes from the movie, Funny Farm w/Chevy Chase. I highly recommend seeing it, if you haven’t.

4) I love sex more than chocolate. (Or ice cream!!) I swear THIS was the first thing that popped in my mind and yes, it’s an honest answer. That being said, if I’m gonna have sex then I have to have chocolate…dark chocolate, right? BTW, who came up with this question anyhow? lol Ahh, I see Purrfectly Pickles came up with questions 3 & 4. Well…way to go! 😀

Keep smiling!

Thursday Thoughts, Laughs, and T2Q

Welcome to another week of Thursday Thoughts. What musings do you have rambling in your head? As for me,  I’m 8-weeks post-surgery. Yay for me! I’m doing great. I’m feeling marvelous. That is until…the medical bills showed up.

As a two-time guest in my local hospital, my eyes nearly jumped out of my head when I saw the total of $67,000.  Holy Cow! It’s a good thing I have a strong heart or I would have been back in the hospital. My jaw is a bit sore from dropping to the floor, though. The upside to all of this is, my insurance is covering most of it. Yay for me! I’m doing great! I’m feeling marvelous!

I noticed something funny over the weekend. I was moving our old, as in dinosaur old, MacBook around when I noticed the battery door looked strange kinda like it had popped open. I turned it over to latch the door but discovered the battery was swollen. WOW, right? There is no fixing THAT! I mean, why didn’t I see the protrusion beneath it before now? I have no clue but am glad that I spotted it when I did before it did reprehensible damage to the computer. I count this as an act of God.

Have you ever wondered, when asked how did you sleep last night that the correct grammatical response is, “I slept well”.   Why can’t you say, “I slept good”?  English was NEVER my strongest subject in school. But, if you’re pondering the reasons why then rest confidentially in knowing that I found the answer for you, here. I understand at last! 😉

A couple of week’s ago, I went for my annual dental cleaning that wasn’t so annual. I don’t remember when the last time was that I had my teeth professionally cleaned. That tells you just how long. Anyway, my teeth are sparkling now, but the Hygienist recommended that I get a night guard. I have severe enamel lost due to grinding my teeth. I set up an appointment to get the impressions made for a lab-made guard for later in the month, but then I learned you can buy night guards from retailers. After speaking with to the Hygienist, she said, “Try one out. If it works for you, then you saved yourself a lot of money and if not, no harm in trying. You can always get a professional night guard.”

I decided on the USA made  SleepRight dental guard. A big plus with me! Psst, they are currently offering a $5 off coupon for in-store purchases, here. Last night, I popped mine for the first time. It was a bit weird at first. I thought I would not be able to sleep, but I slept well and during the night my jaw relaxed making the guard less noticeable.

Okay, are you ready for some LAUGHS? Last night, DH got this link  7 Most Unfortunate Restaurant Names from a friend.  Just what I need lots of laughter just before bedtime!

**Alphabe-Thursday “L” contribution**
