Skywatch Friday Painted Sky

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

This week has been gorgeous, kittens and dawgs! In fact, it’s been so NICE that I found myself outdoors a lot and once again I neglected my responsibilities in Blogosphere. Shame on Cathy!

You’re the best and I know you can’t fault me for taking advantage of soaking up a little sunshine. Today, I’m borrowing from my archives and am sharing another beautiful sunset.

I couldn’t resist using the same image in Brustrokes. I REALLY like this cool app! Now I can say, here’s a painted sky. lol

I’m sharing my photo-art with the SWF team and s-A(R)T-urday.  Now, I’m joining Lexa in Celebrate the small things.

I’m celebrating…

  • the return of spring-like weather. Nature might be teasing us, but I’m so lovin’ it!
  • the return of DST. YAY! I’ve already notice the daylight extending a little each day, so the time change will be a nice boost. I wish it was always on DST, don’t you?
  • finding out when I went for my quarterly Sotopelle insert (Hormone Replacement Therapy) appointment that I had a ninety dollar credit on my account. 🙂
  • getting my HRT taken care of. I really needed the boost to ease pesky menopause symptoms.

What are you celebrating?

Join the party below!

Let’s begin celebrating with Friendship Friday and Friday Features linky parties where you’re sure to make new friends and get lots of inspiration!

I am participating in the A-Z April blog challenge. Starting next week running through the end of April this regularly hop will double with my mid-week post. That’s a wrap for now, but if you like music then I invite you to come back for Monday’s Music Moves Me.  Until next time, have a fototastic weekend!

Flashback Winter 2013 #WW

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Good morning, kittens and dawgs. We’re under a winter storm advisory with the prospect of 1-2 inches of snow. Seeing is believing in these neck of the woods, but two winters ago we did get this….DSC_1643 vibrance

Will it look like a winter wonderland today? I don’t know, but if it does then I’ll be sure to snap a few pictures to share. 😀

This week’s featured photographer is….

Julie’s Lifestyle

Go by to see what amazing pix she’s sharing today! Kindly include your Wordless or (not-so-wordless) Wednesday link below to join the party. It would be awesome, if you can show a little blog love by inviting your friends to join in on the fun, too! 😘

Thanks for popping in and joining the Wordless or Not-so-Wordless Wednesday fun.

Have you voted in my mid-January edition of Battle of the Bands yet? If not, I urge you to get in on the action, here and then come back on Friday to see, if your favorite artist is the winner.

Have a fototastic day!

Tennessee declares state of emergency

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Monday night Tennessee declared a state of emergency. This morning, we woke to find that Octavia left a mess in its wake ~ stranded travelers on interstates, down power lines, frigid temperatures, and deadly ice streets.

Several thousand residents in the area do not have electricity, including DD#2 and her husband and other than a couple of hiccups in power interruption last night, we still have electricity.

Needless to say, this means an unplanned day off for DH due Mother Nature’s madness and an unscheduled blogging break for me.  Our street is a nightmare! Hopefully, I’ll be back to my regular routine tomorrow. Other than that, everything is peachy here in the Tennessee Valley.

This kitten is staying indoors. Sorry, no photo ops here. I decided I don’t need any broken bones just to capture a few interesting shots. What’s happening in your area?

Santa Claus is coming to town #WW

Good morning, kittens & dawgs! Whew, we’re in the home stretch! Christmas is just two days away. That being said, kiddies you better watch out, you better not pout, you better watch out I’m telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town.

Congratulations and thanks for being a sweetie to join my linky party! I know everyone is SUPER busy this week, but when you can in between the baking and wrapping gifts show a little blog love by Romi when you can and don’t forget to leaves some happy thoughts for her to read. Kinda like cookies for Santa, no?! *wink*

Just a reminder, each week I use random.org to pick a new photographer. I would like the opportunity to put your blog on display. To win a chance in the spotlight, then join the linky party below with your photographic wonder URL.

Thank you for making me apart of your day.   I’ll leave you with a favorite Christmas classic song from my childhood.

A winter’s night stroll in the park #WW

Good morning, kittens & dawgs!  Geez, the same week I turn a year older, I realize Christmas is 9-days away. Whew, this month is getting away from me fast! I’m so glad you decided to visit. I’m sharing another picture from my photo archives.  I snapped this picture last December on a very chilly night at a park in Farragut near Turkey Creek in west Knoxville.
