Welcome, Kittens & Dawgs! Last December, DH and I ventured to one of our favorite mountain communities Bryson City, North Carolina, home of the Smoky Mountain Railway. I’ve shared other photos over the years and you may recall this is one of the locations where you can board the Polar Express. I snapped a close up of a tree ornament in this fabulously holiday decked town. It was rather plain but I saw a photo-editing potential waiting to happen and so with Pixelmator I jazzed it so I could send you A Merry Christmas Greeting!
Pop back tomorrow to learn the outcome of My December #BoTB showdown. Also, for another peek through my lens join me for my newest edition of Skywatch Friday and get in on the Friday social media action. Have a fototastic day!
Welcome back, Kittens & Dawgs! Last week, I shared my photo art creation of Apple Valley Country Store. On the same day I took that picture, our plans took us to Cades Cove in the Smoky’s . Near the entrance of the 11-mile loop road is a picnic area and if you’ve been there before then you know what I’m talking about. This is where I snapped the below picture.
I remember it was a not only a gray day but a cool, damp sorta day. The day trip was still refreshing and fun. The above image reminds me of the weather we’ve had the last few days, as the November chapter of 2016 closes.
Hello, Kittens & Dawgs! Thank you for joining me. I know many of y’all are consumed with Thanksgiving readiness, as I am but hopefully you’re finding time between the prep work to relax with a blog friend or two.
On Monday, I shared Blessings and Honor mewsic. Today, I’m revisiting an old photo I snapped in 2014 with my iPhone. I did a little tweaking in Pixelmator to give it a fresh look and it fits perfectly with the occasion at hand, Thanksgiving.
I used an antique background as an overlay and applied the Pixelmator vintage vignette freesia effect.
What does your Thanksgiving menu include? Will you have dinner at home, at someone’s home, or dine out? Who will share the feast with you, friends, family, or both?
For my American friends, please don’t fret about life in Blogosphere. It can wait, just spend this time with those you love. You’re always welcome to join anytime. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you’ll come back for Friday Sillies and more Friday fun stuff!
Hello, Kittens and Dawgs! I’m feeling happy and blessed these days. We got some good news yesterday. I’m not ready to share that just yet but maybe on Friday I can fill y’all in. I can’t believe the splendor of autumn is passed us; most of the leaves have fallen off and the trees stand bare. November is pushing past me like a blur. Here’s another peek from our October trip to the parkway. It was such a beautiful day!
What have you been photographing lately? Do you prefer to take landscape or people shots?
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you’ll Join me for some laughs with Friday Sillies and get another peek through the lens with Skywatch Friday while enjoying Friendly Fill-ins, Celebrate the Small Things, and more Friday social media fun. Have a fototastic day!
Welcome, Kittens & Dawgs! I’m glad to see you today. This week has been a bit hectic and stressful with the presidential election. I felt it my duty to do the whole social media thing to help the undecided voter or swaying the opposition to jump ship for the “MAGA” candidate. We crawled beneath the sheets exhausted but happy around 3:30am this morning; watching the race to the White House.
Now it’s time to have a little fun. I’m sharing another peek from our trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway from last month. The mountain in the background is Grandfather’s Mountain in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.
I love how the fall foliage frames this shot and drawing your eyes to the bald cliffs of Grandfather’s Mountain. We have not been there but I’d love to go. It requires an entrance fee. It’s sort of expensive. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to go sometime in the near future after DH gets a job. 🙂
How are the views through the lens where you are? Would you care to share them and link up?
