Music that inspires…
‘the author within’
‘my artistic talent to shine, if only in my eyes’
‘a sense of greatest, even when I don’t feel so great’
Did you have a good time on the dance floor? I am looking forward to listening to your music inspired choices today. Next up… your place! What music inspires you?
Be sure to come back next week to dance with the 4M crew, and if you can’t get enough music, then join me for Saturday Song-suasion!
A couple of weeks ago on Saturday Song-suasion I mentioned the importance of gospel music in my early spiritual upbringing, but I am a rock n’ roll gal. I prefer Christian rock over the traditional gospel sound. The lyrics speak to my heart, and the rhythm moves my soul.
This week while jamming to Christian POP artists on iTunes radio, I was introduced to new male artist, Matthew West.
Instantly, I liked his style and decided to look for more songs by him to share.
For God so loved us that He gave His Only begotten son…
The God of grace can put together the broken pieces of our life…
And, He is faithful and He is just to forgive us…
When we surrender our all to the Lord, then healing begins…
I hope you enjoyed your visit and that this collection of music uplifted your spirit. In fact, I hope you enjoyed it so much that you cannot wait to tell your friends. Go ahead, hit the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 😉
Gospel music has always been a part of my life, but rock n’ roll is my forte. In the late 70s, I was introduced to contemporary Christian music. I remember the controversy this style of music stirred in my small southern WV community. Old timers saw this as a tool of the devil. How can Christian rock be of service to the Lord? After all, it sounded like dance music.
However, if the truth be told it matters not the style of melody the lyrics accompany. Music undeniably speaks to the heart. I believe through all styles of Christian music that seek to honor Jesus, then the Father is at work preparing hearts and minds for His son.
May God work in you this day a miracle through these songs by Mercy Me….
Thank you for taking time out of your weekend to listen to Saturday Song-susian picks. I hope you enjoyed your visit. In fact, I hope you enjoyed it so much that you cannot wait to tell your friends. Go ahead, hit the share (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) button! You know you wanna. 😉

On Friday, I wrote about Amazon Music Freebies. My first song selection for this week’s Monday’s Music Moves Me comes from a young artist who is singing contemporary style Christian hymn. He has a nice voice. I couldn’t find an outstanding video other than the one shown below, but if you want to hear a short studio recording of him singing, and to get it for free then click here.
Would you like another Amazon Freebie? Check out the music video featuring Avalon singing Alive, then grab this free MP3 here!
I’m feeling extremely generous with my discoveries. Meet Ashmont Hill – new to me, maybe new to you, Contemporary Christian Inspirational group, which I think you will like. Listen below, and the get this free Amazon MP3 here.
This is a totally crazy video. The lyrics are odd, too, but I dig this gal’s voice and the tune is so groovin’! And…you can own it for free from Amazon, just click here.
Finally, I’ll leave you with one granddaddy of a cool offer from Amazon. Did you know you can download an entire album for FREE? Granted most aren’t worth much, but sometimes, you’ll get a surprise. I kind of liked the sound of this group. Again new to me. Listen to this selection and if you like it consider downloading the album (10 tracks are free and there’s an 11th Addiction which will NOT download automatically because it’s $.99) for free here.
Update: This post included outdated information and broken links removed. Free mewsic selection no longer available. 🙁
It’s simple to join in on the fun, all you need to do is…
1. Add your favorite YouTube music video(s). This week’s theme is your choice – freebie pick.
2. Grab the Monday’s Music Moves Me button to insert it in your post or blog.
3. Sign the linky, follow all the hosts (see above), and leave a comment.
4. Have lots of fun while you bebop over to the other jammin’ Monday’s Music Moves Me party goers who are groovin’ to the tunes.

The Love Train is pulling out, so get on board with the Monday Music Moves Me crew.
I regularly participate in the Meet Me On Monday meme, but Java hasn’t recovered yet from her cool Mexican vacation. What can I say, some people have all the luck. LOL. Anyhow, this is a fun get-to-know-me-know-you meme. Each week, she posts five questions for us to use, but we’ll have to wait until next Monday for more fun while she continues to get herself back into the humdrum of everyday living. Vacations spoil you and you have horrible time collecting yourself afterward but oh how I’d like to have such worries, wouldn’t you? Meanwhile, hop over to Java’s blog Never Growing Old and you can pretend to be on a tropical vacation while you look at her photos.
Also, you may catch me linked up on these memes, too.
