Jesus is the reason for the season #Christmas #music

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

It’s Christmas time, kittens & dawgs! For the entire month of December  XmasDolly, and her elves ~ JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, Everyday Life, & little ole me are having a jingling good time spreading the cheer with non-stop Christmas music.

First up, the results for last week’s #BOTB installment. I know you’re waiting with bated breath to learn if your favorite pick won the showdown. The question was which not-so-familiar (Honestly, I had not heard of them before last week) artists Sanam or Tessera did you like the best singing, Mary, Did You Know?

Sanam  9

Tessera 2

SANAM wins!

As you know, I decided to go with a theme within a theme this month.  I’ve covered Bethlehem, the Angels, Mary, and now it’s all about Jesus!

 Come and Worship!

Long, long ago on a cold and dark starry

Silent Night

the baby Jesus was laid

Away in a Manger

A personal note: I love these new lyrics over Leonard Cohen’s original!

While adorning your Christmas tree, think of the tree that Jesus was placed on later that made it possible for us to receive His gift to us ~ eternal life.  Have yourself a very Merry little Christmas & a Happy New Year! 😉

Which Christmas music is moving you?

Wayback Wednesdays…1990

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Our darling hostess of WAYBACK WEDNESDAY, Angela, has us revisiting 1990. That was a good year!

My biggest, most important event of that year was….

My daughter’s birth!

~Nicole Elise Kennedy~

Nikki 1-year-old

Some interesting facts I remember about that day are:

  • Labor began in the wee hours
  • My water didn’t break
  • My baby was breach – feet down
  • Delivering by C-section highly recommended
  • The doctor using forceps
  • A Neonatologist was present
  • My daughter had a delayed cry at birth
  • How happy I was to finally hear her bellow out

The warning signs all pointed to a somewhat difficult child and wouldn’t you know what?  It’s always been her with the strangest mishaps be falling her.  Disaster kind of followers her around.  So….keep your distance folks!

Ghost, starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore revitalizing this 1965 song keeping it in the spotlight for 7-weeks.  It continues to be one of my favorites today.
