#AprilA2Z Art Sketching through the Alphabet “Z”

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Hello, Kitten & Dawgs, every time I think of the letter “Z”, I think of fruit stripe gum. Do you remember it? Wrigley’s used a multi-color zebra for the gums branding.  It was a clever and fun idea.  Kids loved it!  I decided to draw zebra for today’s prompt but wind up doing two.

Hopefully, what I share with you every day will encourage you to do something that interests you that you’ve long put off because like me you just don’t think you can. My advice is, just do it! Maybe, you’ll be surprised. I know I was! 🙂

It’s not only the weekend but it’s Sunday, so I’m zipping over to join the A2Z party and then I’m zinging outta Blogosphere. I’ll be by tomorrow to check out yours and other “Z” posts.  You’re invited back tomorrow for a double dose of mewsic with Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me and Battle of the Bands.

#AprilA2Z Art Sketching through the Alphabet “Y”

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Hello, Kitten & Dawgs, these last few letters in the alphabet tested my thinker and that’s not a yarn but I came up with an excellent subject for the letter “Y”. Yahoo! No, No, I’m not going to doodle a Yahoo log for you. I give you a YAWN…a baby yawn!

Yawning babies are so cute.

Too bad youngins grow up and get all yackety-yak talkin’ back at ya makin’ ya yelp. 🙂

Hopefully, what I share with you every day will encourage you to do something that interests you that you’ve long put off because like me you just don’t think you can. My advice is, just do it! Maybe, you’ll be surprised. I know I was! 🙂

I’m heading off to link up with other fellow AtoZers and you’re invited to come along.  I’ll see you on tomorrow for the next installment of Art Sketching through the Alphabet!

#AprilA2Z Art Sketching through the Alphabet “X”

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Hello, Kitten & Dawgs, today’s letter “X’ prompt leaves one’s imagination a bit stretched. The obvious first choice was…

After I sketched the cartoon girl holding the x-ray film, I thought it was cute but I wanted to draw something a little more of a challenge. After scrolling through some possible Google hits for “X” things I came across….

Why did I not think of Xena before? *smack forehead* My girls used to like watching the Xena TV show when they were younger.  I think my Xena is prettier and more feminine looking than Lucy Lawless.  What do you think?

It’s not that Lucy isn’t pretty, she was especially pretty in those early years as Xena. I could be a bit bias toward my Xena. What do you think? 🙂

Hopefully, what I share with you every day will encourage you to do something that interests you that you’ve long put off because like me you just don’t think you can. My advice is, just do it! Maybe, you’ll be surprised. I know I was! 🙂

#AprilA2Z Art Sketching through the Alphabet “W”

Hello, Kitten & Dawgs, during DH’s period of unemployment we got hooked on the popular AMC “The Walking Dead”. I could use this TV series theme either now or wait until the end of the alphabet. Being a bit impatient I decided to roll it out for today’s sketching. W is for….

Walking Dead

While I searched “W” ideas to draw I somehow came upon instructions on how to draw waves from which I sketched these two pictures to share.

Between the two, I think I prefer the second one the best. What do you think? Do you have a favorite?

WOW, me with your “W-spired” ideas for me to put pencil to paper with for next “W” sketch! If I use yours then when I share my newest creation, I’ll give you credit with a link back to your site!

Hopefully, what I share with you every day will encourage you to do something that interests you that you’ve long put off because like me you just don’t think you can. My advice is, just do it! Maybe, you’ll be surprised. I know I was! 🙂

#AprilA2Z Art Sketching through the Alphabet “V”

Hello, Kitten & Dawgs, thanks for sticking with me this month for the A2Z Art Sketching Through the Alphabet and today’s prompt is the letter “V”!

Would you like to or do you play the violin?

My good friend and fellow blogger, Mr. Shady from SDMM told me his wife is an artist. I believe she paints. Her favorite subject is Victorian women. Feeling inspiration burning to my core I sketched two Victorian women, a portrait and a full- length drawings.

I modeled my sketch after this image. No step by step instructions, just sight drawing. The eyes need work but I’m confident in time I’ll develop a knack for getting it right.

This lovely lady I modeled from this image. I’m eager to do more female forms, especially Victorian women. I like vintage stuff, don’t you?

Hopefully, what I share with you every day will encourage you to do something that interests you that you’ve long put off because like me you just don’t think you can. My advice is, just do it! Maybe, you’ll be surprised. I know I was! 🙂

I’m feeling victorious with the vast undertaking of the A2Z challenge soon coming to an end. What V-things should I sketch next?

I’m heading off to link up with other fellow AtoZers and you’re invited to come along.  I’ll see you on tomorrow for the next installment of Art Sketching through the Alphabet!
