I hope y’all had a marvelous Christmas. Ours was quite lovely. In case you didn’t know, I’m taking one more hiatus before the year slips away with DH. Not to worry, I’ll be back on schedule next week. Meanwhile, as you look to the new year, I hope nothing but goodness falls in your lap and while I know some of us may get rained on in 2015, my prayer is for God to help you to weather the storm(s) whatever they may be.
Thank you for being awesome, awesome friends and I look forward to sharing with you in the New Year!
Good-morning, kittens & dawg! Here we are the day before Christmas. The joyous season has hastened by all the quicker another year. I hope the holiday bustle and countless activities did not interfere with the happiness that Christmas brings. I loved every second of every minute listening to carols, watching holiday movies, cooking, baking, and more!. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
Anywho, I decided unplug myself from Cyber World until January 5th. DH has more vacation time to burn. Yay, me! Right? I will cherish these peaceful days with those I love the best and invite you to follow my lead. Family is everything! We can get back to our blogging communities soon enough. Until then, I’d like to say…
May the blessed light of Bethlehem shine ever so brightly in your life this day and always!
I’m rather partial to December babies because…I’m one! Yep, the 14th will be my…ehem…53rd birthday. Did I actually say that? Yep, I’m afraid I did. *smack forehead*
Anywho, when I was young I knew what it was like to have my special day swept away by the prominence of Christmas and through limited understanding I knew Jesus’ birth trumped mine any ole day, but I thought it would be nice if others kinda gave me a wee bit of attention. Selfish? Yeah, just a little!

Today we honor our veterans,
worthy men and women
who gave their best
when they were called upon
to serve and protect their country.
We pray that you will bless them, Lord,
for their unselfish service
in the continual struggle
to preserve our freedoms, our safety,
and our country’s heritage, for all of us.
Bless them abundantly
for the hardships they faced,
for the sacrifices they made
for their many different contributions
to America’s victories
over tyranny and oppression.
We respect them, we thank them,
we honor them, we are proud of them,
and we pray that you will watch over
these special people
and bless them with peace and happiness.
In Jesus’ name we pray; Amen.
Please…whenever possible tell a Vet how much you appreciate him/her for his/her service to our country. Freedom isn’t free; it comes with a steep price!
