I born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of southern WV. I was a child bride when I married my high school sweetheart in 1979. We moved to Knoxville, TN to begin our life. Determined to prove nay-Sayers from our community wrong, I completed my education and went on to earn an A.S. in computer programming. From 1983-1987, I worked as a computer system’s manager. That’s a glorified title for someone who trouble shoots and maintains system back-ups. After the birth of our first child in 1988, I took early retirement. What have I been doing for the last 25+ years? I am proud to say, I am a SAHM and for most of those years I home-schooled our three children from K-12. Now, the nest is empty.

I’ll continue with Christmas mewsic through this week. I know this morning I woke thinking, “Christmas is over?” and felt a bit bummed. I love the season! I won’t take our tree down for a few days or weeks yet. I like waiting until at the New Year’s anyhow to do that job and sometimes I go longer. lol

I know this gal quite well because she played more than once on Dancing With The Stars and she just competed on it this past season and came in second! I love this video and her playing because she is talented and unique. Merry Christmas! I have been so busy that my blogging took a nose dive. I hope you had a nice Christmas Eve and Day.

I was introduced to Lindsey several years ago and instantly fell in love with her mewsic style and abilities. She’s fantastic! Yep, she was on DWTS and I thought for sure she’d take the Mirror Ball Trophy but didn’t. Don’t worry about life in Blogosphere. I think everyone has been too busy to do much here but soon everyone will find their way back to their normal routines. And, yes I had a nice Christmas eve and day! I hope you did, too.

Yes, I had a lovely Christmas! DH was off Friday through Tuesday and it was great having him home. We just spent it relaxing. The only time we got out was Friday. We drove to a few small western North Carolina mountain communities to see the decorations. Forrest City, NC was gorgeous! I snapped a few photos but my exposure was off, so I’m not sure if I actually got anything worth sharing or not. I need to sort through them. 🙂

Thanks for dropping by, my friend. Yes, I had a blessed Christmas and am happy to hear that you did, too. It’s time to play catch up after being away from Blogosphere for several days. 🙂

    Hi, Cathy!

I hope you and your family had a splendid Christmas, dear friend. As I sipped my morning coffee, I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting choreographed performance by violinist Lindsey Stirling who put a delightful edge on a children’s Christmas favorite “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy,” a tune I well remember from childhood. In fact, I do believe it is the earliest of my mewsical memories. There was a children’s TV show that I watched every weekday. It used “Sugar Plum Fairy” as its opening theme and I was mesmerized. Lindsey Stirling is new to me, also, and she is a wonderful discovery. This piece is an excellent example how to update an old tune without destroying it. In fact, it is so cleverly and expertly done, it ranks as a new classic.

Thank you very much for the holiday cheer, dear friend Cathy. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Thank you for asking about my Christmas. I did have a nice time, as did my whole family. It was great spending the last 5-days with DH. His scheduled Friday off fell purrfectly in line with his employer’s Christmas holiday days off making for an extra long weekend of which we loved! No doubt, you did your own research on Lindsey and discovered she achieved her fame primarily through YouTube but what I learned during her DWTS competition this season is that she was on AGT in 2010. Her innovative, hip-hop style is what appeals to me the most and I fell instantly for her festive flare and often mewsic. I’m glad that you enjoyed this mewsical sample of Lindsey Stirling, my friend. Have a good week and I’ll hop over to see you shortly!

💕I love comments! Have a purrfect day & thanks for stopping by!💕
