Christmas Together #TheTenors #music

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! I kicked off a new-to-me mewsic discovery on the first Tuesday of this month and I decided to continue my posting craze every Thursday throughout December, so there’s gonna be a whole lot of Christmas mewsic. No bah-hum-bugs allowed so if you’re not onboard then move on Scrooge! Today’s featured artist is The Tenors with their album, Christmas Together!

This is the last of my Christmas mewsic of the year but not to worry I will continue to share new mewsic discoveries in the coming year. I plan incorporate new or neglected memes in this post slot starting next week. I’m looking forward to spending another year with you in Blogosphere!

      Birgit,

I didn’t look up any factoids on the group but it seems someone mentioned that The Tenors are from Canada, though. I’m sorry that video didn’t play for you but am happy that you found them to listen, too.

They were first shownon the Oprah Winfrey show and became a hit as a result. They were doing well and the management must have said to change the name, I’m thinking, so there would be bigger sales in the States.

Great timing for this. We have Christmas events on Friday night and Saturday of this weekend. That is how we had to schedule. Santa Claus got first choice on dates, then there was travel to contend with.

    Happy New Year, Cathy. πŸ™‚

    Hi, Cathy!

I had a house full of holiday guests yesterday and they wore me out. I needed to sleep in this morning. I am delighted to be having my coffee with you and enjoying your mewsical offerings.

How can anyone listen to the British Columbia operatic pop vocal group The Tenors and not be moved? Their vocals are rich and pure and their harmonies soar. I enjoyed every song, especially the ones accompanied by a video. One of the highlights for me was “Santa’s Wish (Teach The World),” a song derived from “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)” which began in 1971 as the Coca-Cola commercial jingle “Buy the World a Coke.” The song alone is powerful and inspirational enough, but the video elevates it to a new classic – magnificent! “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” another song from The Tenors’ 2017 album Christmas Together, is filmed in the style of an old black and white movie and is another sight and sound masterpiece. I also enjoyed the claymation video for “Little Drummer Boy.” Another live action video, “Auld Lang Syne,” is the icing on the cake.

Thank you very much for introducing this fine vocal group, Cathy. Happy new year, dear friend!

      Tom,

It’s good to sleep in after an exhausting visit with family or friends. This morning the bone-chilling lows of 18ΒΊ sure would’ve been a good time to stay in bed longer but DH had to work. I hate cold weather! This weekend it’s going to be worse with wee hours on new years morning dropping into the low teens!! I’m so ready for spring. lol

I’m delighted you enjoyed The Tenors. I listened to them again this morning as well while composing a few posts. I like having at least a couple of weeks done ahead so to make life a little easier for me. I noticed the song “Santa Wish” sounding like the Coke commercial jingle and thought it was pretty neat spin for a Christmas tune.

Have a good afternoon and warm wishes to you for a happy new year, my friend!
